InterOcean Systems was proud to choose the Oceans 2023 Gulf Coast Conference as the venue to debut the new 488-ACW Autonomous Compact Winch. Ongoing research showed high demand for highly capable winch systems to integrate seamlessly with Uncrewed Surface Vessels. These highly capable vessels perform critical tasks including hydrographic surveys, water sampling and gather information used for infrastructure planning.
Rapid expansion of Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) development and deployment is underway to support emerging markets such as floating wind power and wave energy. InterOcean is engaging with manufacturers and operators to ensure that they maximize operational efficiency and accuracy of data when deploying sonar systems, CTDs and other sensors from their USVs by providing “Smart Winch” features on these highly reliable winches.
